Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this wicked
2006 Chverolet HHR. As if its not obvious already, this is not your
average HHR. One look at the rear tires will give it away. This pro
street "HHR" has been heavily modified and is sitting on a 12
point, NHRA certified, tig welded, chromoly tube chassis from
Alston Chassis Works. Under the removable front clip is a very
stout, 525hp LS3 crate motor from GM. When you unclip the hood and
rock it forward you will notice the engine is pushed very far back,
this is for better weight distribution and aids in gaining
traction. Mated to the engine is a tremec Magnum 6 speed, a ram
dual disc 700hp clutch, ram flywheel, and a quick time scatter
shield. In the rear you will find a Strange pro 9" with 35 spline
axles and, 4:11 gears, and a locker unit. Driving this car is quite
a treat. If you want a street or strip car that is guaranteed to
hurt everyone's feelings then this may be the ride for you. Not
many people are going to expect this sound coming from an HHR and
even fewer people with will expect it to run like it does. Overall
this car drives exceptionally well for a drag car and could easily
be driven on the street. Even the AC blows cold and cools the cabin
down fairly well. The turning radius may even be better then a
stock HHR. This thing turns on a dime. This 2006 "Chevrolet HHR"
