Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is please to present for sale,
on consignment, this fine example of a 1963 Pontiac Bonneville
convertible! The vehicle is offered by our showroom in North
Phoenix. Painted in a factory-offered deep "Grenadier Red" color,
the body is claimed to have no bondo, with a black power-operated
convertible top and two tone dark red and silver interior. This
Bonneville has some unique styling features to go with it such as
stacked headlights and blended chrome bumpers in the front and
rear. The 389 cubic inch engine was bored 30 over, featuring
Edelbrock aluminum heads, Edelbrock aluminum manifold, Edelbrock
Performer RPM Camshaft, new hydraulic lifters and pushrods, a Quick
Fuel 4-barrel 750 carburetor, HEI distributor and electronic
ignition system, new fuel pump, new water pump, new belts and
hoses, new aluminum radiator, new battery and new axle bearings and
seals. Both the engine and Hydramatic 4 speed transmission have
been completely restored with under 200 miles. This Bonneville
comes with the 8 lug wheels and virtually new Lucas tires in the
correct factory sizing clocking less than 200 miles on them. The
original radio and clock are both there but are inoperable. On the
other hand, the power steering and power brakes provide a
much-welcomed luxury to your driving experience. The original
steering wheel has also been completely rebuilt. The "dummy gauges"
have been supplemented with a Bosch tachometer while Auto Meter
gauges keep tabs on oil pressure, water temperature and voltage.
This is a clean, well thought out, well executed restoration on an
iconic car. Anyone would be lucky to add it to their collection and
to put the top down and take the family for a cruise.
