For Sale: 1967 Dodge Coronet in Ft Worth, Texas

Vehicle Description

This 1967 Dodge Coronet Pro Street is pure triple-black intimidation. And it earns its full midnight machine style with a long list of fortified components with a competition-grade Mopar big block at its heart.

This is the ideal car to get the pro street upgrade. After all, the Coronet already made an excellent muscle car with a lighter intermediate size but a wide road-owning design that could intimidate the largest from Ford or GM. Flared fender, wide chrome bumpers, and a unique hardtop style are all part of this legend. The black paint has the right attitude for a muscle car. It has a good gloss but is not afraid to hit the blacktop. And the black vinyl roof adds a touch of elegance. Of course, you can see this one is really built for added intimidation, and this one does it with added care. The tall cowl hood is made of lightweight fiberglass. The small tire setup is done correctly with Billet Specialties Comp Series wheels in front and strong Centerline units for the extra-wide rear. Even the gas flap now hides your battery cut-off switch.

The black interior joins the paint and roof to deliver an awesome triple-black upgrade. It has a nice classic style with detailed door panels and low-back seats that don't interfere with the wide-open look of the hardtop profile. The heater controls indicate that this was a factory A/C car, but those components have been tossed for the sake of speed. But this still has a cool vintage attitude, right down to the working AM radio. In fact, we like how you still have the classic Dodge steering wheel. It gives you a touch of stock style while the B&M QuickSilver shifter, AutoMeter auxiliary readouts, shift light, and large column-mounted tach remind you this is a seriously upgraded machine.

That big cowl hood makes people think there's a monster underneath, and when we lift it, you'll prove them right. This is the mighty Mopar 440 cubic-inch V8. The consignor states this has been enlarged to 500ci total. It's also enhanced with a Mancini Racing Indy intake, Indy heads, 11.1 Compression, and a 650 roller cam. It inhales deeply with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with added power and authority as headers feed into those large side pipes. We're told this full package is said to be rated at a whopping 750 horsepower and 709 ft-lb of torque! It's also supported by the right components, like an aluminum radiator with electric fans, steel braided lines with AN fittings, and a full MSD ignition package with MSD 7AL-2 Plus ignition control. The fuel cell and batteries are even in the trunk for better weight distribution. Big power needs the right components to get it to the pavement. That's why you have a heavy-duty 618 three-speed automatic transmission with a 3800 stall. This feeds into Detroit Locker Dana 60 3.73 limited-slip rear end with 3.75 gears. There's also an upgraded front end, traction bars on the rear, and Mickey Thompson tires all-around. A pro street car is also about making sure that a professional-grade machine is also ready for the boulevard. And so features like the four-wheel disc brakes and electric overdrive are welcomed for both the street and track.

A triple-black attitude means a ton of power to create the mean Mopar muscle you've always dreamed about. And if you act quickly, you can make this Coronet pro street your reality. Call today!!!
