Vehicle Description
A collector's item from the moment they were announced, the 2010
Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 convertible has always been desirable. Of
course, it only gets better on a 13,584-mile example like this one.
That's right! This baby has been driven just over a thousand miles
a year since it was new, proving that it's been a special-occasion
only machine since new. This also means that this Shelby Mustang is
your opportunity to own a cherished example of the new muscle car
class that was produced by American automotive royalty.
The Black Clearcoat on this snake-bitten Mustang is in such great
condition that you know it has lived a pampered, garage-kept life.
The whole convertible is a great modern representation of what
Carroll Shelby did to the original Mustang over five decades ago.
Further accentuated because there's something special about a
Shelby car dressed in sinister black with a top that goes down,
practically beating Corvette at its own game. Plus, Shelby GT500s
take the retro-look pony cars and make them more aggressive. The
blacked-out grille, fog lights, hood vents, matte black
LeMans-style stripes that run down the center, aggressive decklid
spoiler, and black folding cloth roof make for perfect additions to
this dialed-in modern classic. Just in case the wide chin spoiler,
lower rocker side stripes, full-width rear spoiler, and 20-inch
Super Snake forged wheels aren't enough subtle hints for others to
get out of your way, Cobra badges on the grille, fenders, and rear
gas cap are the perfect announcement about how hard you can bite
back if tested.
Inside, the black bucket seats are already incredibly cool dressed
in luxurious cowhide leather, but they've got Shelby's trademark
snake embossed in them, too. Signs of use are extremely minor,
maybe a couple 'comfort marks' in the driver's seat if we really
want to get picky, but nothing anyone will be complaining about.
There are no scuffs on the door sills, no scratches in the dash,
and the carpets still look factory fresh - proving this was
positively someone's baby. Shelbys came only one way: loaded. This
means power seats/locks/windows/mirrors, a leather wrapped Cobra
steering wheel, keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, and
cruise control are all present and working perfectly. The Shaker
stereo was upgraded to an AM/FM/CD/AUX/Navigation Double DIN unit
that pumps out huge power and is modern enough to handle all of
your audio needs. Plus, a modern classic means modern safety
features like anti-lock brakes, dual front air bags, and side
airbags, too. But the two features we know you'll love the most are
the power windows and power convertible top. This means you can go
from enclosed comfort to a wind-in-your-hair experience without
ever leaving the driver's seat. And let's face it, with the sweet
rumble this Shelby produces, you're going to want to enjoy top-down
motor for as long as possible. That's why it's great to have the
air conditioning keeping you cool all through the summer season.
And if that sporty 6-speed manual shifter in the center console
doesn't get you excited, the Carroll Shelby dash plate and
autographs on the back of the headrests certainly will, unless you
don't have a pulse.
A 540 horsepower street car is serious business, and the GT500 more
than lived up to the hype. The fuel-injected engine is a variation
of the 5.4-liter supercharged V8 found in the Ford GT supercar, so
yes, there's some serious street-eating power under the hood. And
when mated to the six-speed manual transmission, this Mustang
offers enough performance to keep Z06 Corvette owners looking over
their shoulders. The engine bay looks just like the way it was the
moment it rolled off the assembly line, aside from the Ford Racing
strut tower brace and SVT air filter assembly that sucks in loads
of cool air into the intake. But while the production stickers
still seen in the undercarriage photos remind you this car is at a
collector-grade level, we know you won't be able to resist adding
miles to the odometer. After all, with a sports suspension, thick
sway bars front & rear, power steering, power four-wheel disc
brakes, and staggered 255/35/20 front and 295/30/20 rear
performance tires wrapped around those Shelby rims, this Shelby
begs to be driven.
Complete with the original owner's manuals and original window
sticker, this 2-owner Shelby GT500 convertible is an absolute cream
puff. If you're looking for a modern muscle car that's destined to
rise in value, this is the own to own. Call today!!!
