Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to be able to present this
high-revving silver 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. This Camaro started its
life out as a CA. car & it's history is documented back to 1979,
but a whole lot has been changed on it since then! The old 327 V/8
has long been replaced by this high compression, high revving 383
CID V/8 that was assembled by Race Engines 2011 out of Spokane, WA.
& installed here in TX. in 2013 by Black Jack Speed Shop out of San
Antonio. This is a potent 505 hp screamer that is not for the faint
of heart! Black Jack Speed Shop pretty much redid this Camaro from
top to bottom over a 4 month period in 2013 & it has barely even
been driven since. It was assembled with all top quality parts
using all ARP bolts & fasteners, a high torque starter to offset
the compression, MSD Pro Billet distributor, MSD 6AL digital
ignition box, MSD Blaster 2 coil, MSD 8.5mm super conductor wires,
a Holley Performance carb is sitting on top of the polished
Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock fuel pump, Hedman headers, Energy ploy
motor mounts, etc. All this is being layed down to the pavement
through the 700R4 automatic transmission (1900-2100 Stall
Converter) & into the G.M. 12 bolt rear end turning a 3.42 gear,
making it more than road trip ready. This is most definitely a wolf
in sheep's clothing! Keeping with the iconic look of the 1st gen.
Camaros, the Cortez silver looking paint follows right through into
the classic G.M. rally wheels wrapped up with the B.F. Goodrich
Radial T/A's. The black vinyl buckets & carpet all show really
well, and the chrome and trim all are in good condition. This will
be a prize addition to anyone's garage & will soon be making
someone smile from ear to ear!
