Vehicle Description
This 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is #5 of 6 GM-built NASCAR series
pace cars with 2,845 miles (the title reads mileage exempt). It is
complemented by front and rear composite widened wheel flares to
accommodate the wider wheels; these wheels are built of billet
aluminum and retain a high-quality shine. This car features a
special Warner Brothers Tasmanian Devil graphic specific to this
vehicle. Built for the 1998 NASCAR race series, this car still
shows its Primestar 500 decals; this was the actual pace car for
the race at the Texas Speedway. Additionally, this car paced the
following races: Indianapolis Motor Speedway 1997, Loudon NH in
1997, Charlotte Motor Speedway in 1997, Phoenix International
Raceway in 1998, Las Vegas Motor Speedway 1998, Bristol Motor
speedway in 1998, the Las Vegas 400 in 1999, and the Texas 500 in
1999. Additional features include the NASCAR series seat belts in
place of factory seat belts and raceway strobe lights front and
rear.
