Vehicle Description
Finished in Charcoal Gray, this 1966 Chevy II Nova Pro-Touring
coupe is a complete custom build by premier builder Artistic
Customs out of Jasper, OR. Countless hours went into this
no-expense-spared custom build. Powering this Pro-Touring Nova II
is a new GM Performance Supercharged LT4 crate engine putting out
650hp and 650 ft/lbs of torque with a Chevrolet Performance engine
control system. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a heavy-duty
TREMEC T56 6-speed manual transmission. The engine has been
outfitted with a Wegner front-drive system, Wegner custom billet
valve covers and Ultimate stainless-steel headers. The Pro-Touring
treatment includes Detroit Speed suspension, QUADRALink in the rear
and hydro-formed full front frame fitted with tubular upper and
lower control arms, DSE/JRI aluminum body coilover shocks with
"Detroit Tuned" valving, as well as power rack & pinion steering
and Baer 14-inch disc brakes providing stopping power. This custom
Nova rides on 19-inch Schott Performance Cover-Loc wheels in the
rear and 18-inch in the front, all wrapped in Diamondback classic
red line tires. The custom red leather interior was done by
award-winning Jon Lind and features Speed Hut gauges and Vintage
Air climate control. Key customizations include a notched and
smoothed firewall allowing the engine to sit further back in the
car for improved weight distribution, a custom-fabricated air
intake integrated into the DSE inner fenders, a handmade filler
panel between the core support and grille, and a custom-fabricated
exhaust system. It also features DSE mini-tubs as well as Fesler
hood hinges.
