Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1968
Dodge Dart Super Stock Hemi Clone at our Milwaukee location. Only
80 of the Original Super Stocks were built. The main objective when
building the Super Stock Hemi was a small car with a big engine for
the sole purpose of creating a dragster built only for the track.
The biggest motor at the time was the 426 HEMI. A very powerful
engine even in today's standard with 12.5:1 compression, 4.250 in.
bore and 3.750 stroke. Including a pair of Holley carburetors
placed atop a lightweight cross ram aluminum intake manifold, which
finished the package resulting in a dragster reaching 130mph under
11 seconds producing 575hp. Unique for 1968 were weight reduction
modifications including fiberglass fenders and hood, lightweight
bumpers and stripping the car of anything that was not necessary to
make the Dodge Dart as light as possible. Our 1968 Dodge Dart Super
Stock Clone looks exactly like the real deal. Correct paint scheme
of the gray primer with a black hood makes this one Mean looking
machine. Under the hood is the rebuilt 426 power-house attached to
a rebuilt A-833 4-Speed transmission. mA 488 Dana(60) rear end with
posi traction finishes the drivetrain package. Almost nothing was
missed in making our Super Stock Clone and look and perform like
the real deal. An extra set of racing slicks are included. Any
Mopar enthusiast will have to have this 1968 Dodge Dart Super Stock
Hemi Clone in their collection. Whether you take it to the track or
display it at a car show this dragster will definitely be the star
of the show.
