Vehicle Description
This 1972 Pontiac Firebird was a California car its whole life
prior to receiving a professional frame-off nut-and-bolt
restoration and Resto-Mod build with modern technology and driven
less than 1,000 miles since complete. Disassembled and stripped to
bare metal with expert bodywork, resulting in laser-straight panels
and clean lines. The body was primer-sealed before finished in PPG
two-stage base/clear paint. Power comes from a 400hp 6.0-liter LS2
V8 gifted from a 32,566-mile Pontiac GTO. The engine is mated to a
TREMEC T56 6-speed manual transmission with an aluminum driveshaft
connected to a rebuilt 10-bolt rear differential with heavy-duty
posi-traction and 4.11 gears. The chassis has been stiffened with
welded-on Detroit Speed subframe connectors, and the suspension has
been upgraded with tubular front A-arms and heavy-duty
high-performance front and rear springs. Spent gases exit through
new headers feeding a Flowmaster exhaust system. Other upgrades
include a high-performance radiator with dual fans, power steering
and power disc brakes. Other features include AutoMeter gauges,
electric windows, Vintage Air and a Kenwood Bluetooth stereo system
with iPad Mini integration. This Firebird has a custom body skirt
and side scoops, and rides on custom aluminum wheels. The sale
includes all records, receipts and build photos from beginning to
end.
