Vehicle Description
Newly completed in August of 2021, here's a fresh 454 4-speed 1972
Chevrolet Corvette Coupe from the MAXmotive Pittsburgh Showroom
with just 100 miles on the build. Starting with a 1973 Corvette
block, it was bored .030 over and further fortified with an
Edelbrock 750 carb on an Edelbrock Performer intake, Hooker
side-pipe headers and Accel ignition. A hydraulic performance cam
was installed with fresh springs and roller rockers. The ample
power and torque is transmitted through a Borg-Warner Super T-10
4-speed with a Hurst Competition Plus shifter to a 3.08 Posi rear.
Proprietary custom mixed exterior paint exclusively for this
project, named Screamin Demon Blue Metallic, covers the entire car
including a custom hood with a functional L88-style scoop. All the
chrome and glass are new to complete the fresh appearance. Interior
highlights include custom-sewn black leather seats with plush
charcoal suede inserts and a custom mahogany steering wheel. Air
conditioning by Vintage Air plus power windows, power steering, and
power four-wheel disc brakes add luxury elements to an ultra high
performance Corvette custom. Custom alloy wheels with spinners ride
on staggered 245/45ZR18 and 275/40ZR18 ultra performance radials.
Handling is further enhanced with 550 GT big block front springs,
poly smart struts, and a 1?" front sway bar. Poly bushings are
utilized throughout. New wiring harnesses help everything to stay
functioning including custom LED ambient interior lighting in a
cool shade of blue. Another special feature is the urethane coating
in the wheelwells to protect the custom paint, a thoughtful touch
for peace of mind when you're out on the road. Stainless brake
lines and hoses offer further testimony to the thoroughness of the
build. This superior example offers abundant performance and
cruise-worthy appearance plus great handling and driveability. This
1972 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe is one versatile Vette. See detailed
