Being offered is one of the sharpest 1971 El Camino’s you will find. This vehicle was restored to a high standard with about 2,000 miles since the build, it has an excellent body, the paint is show quality, the interior is new, and the drivetrain has been gone through and it is an excellent driver. We believe this El Camino to be an SS but there is really no way to verify without a build sheet which we don’t have. The car is loaded with SS badging and looks as good as anything on the road. Exterior Highlights
The exterior of this truck features the ever popular lines of the 1971 Chevrolet El Camino, it is painted with very sharp bright red paint with black SS stripes, the truck looks amazing. This truck is super straight has excellent body lines, the doors close easily and solidly. The bed of the truck is excellent and features a very practical fiberglass tonneau cover that is body colored with the black SS stripes as well. The El Camino has an awesome set of El Camino Mag SS wheels with excellent Firestone Firehawk tires, includes a matching spare. This El Camino has a functional Cowl injection hood that really adds to the sporty appearance. All the trim on the truck is in excellent shape, the chrome bumpers and front grill are excellent. All the lights on the truck are functioning properly and have crisp and clear lenses. The exterior of the truck, as the photos show is in show condition.
Interior Highlights
The interior of the truck is like the rest of the truck, excellent. The sharp vinyl bench seat is new and is very comfortable. Also new is the carpeting, headliner, dash pad, door panels, and 3 point seat belts. The vehicle is equipped with power steering, power brakes, and tilt steering wheel. The vehicle is equipped with a K&C Harrison AM/FM stereo with a Kenwood amplifier and 4 speakers. The vehicle is equipped with factory A/C. The truck has an excellent dash with a full compliment of original gauges. Overall the interior, like the exterior is show condition.
Mechanical Highlights
This truck is equipped with a nice drive train, the 350 V8 engine was rebuilt as part of the build, it has a 4 barrel carb, a small cam, and headers, it has a great hot rod sound. The engine compartment is detailed out and show ready with a very original appearance. The truck is equipped with a turbo 350 automatic transmission that was also rebuilt as part of the build. The truck is equipped with a 12 bolt rear end. The truck is equipped with dual exhaust. The truck has new coil springs, shocks, ball joints, and tie rod ends. The truck is also equipped with air shocks. This truck is easy to drive and cruises down the interstate with no issues, it starts, runs, drives, and stops without issue. The undercarriage of this truck is very solid. This is a truck you can get in and go, all the work and expense is done.
