Vehicle Description
2004 Big Block Factory Five Shelby Cobra
Why This Car Is Special
Some legends go by just one name. Elvis, Sinatra, Cher, Prince,
just to name a few in the music industry. As far as car legends go,
Cobra is about the biggest name to know.
We have a Factory Five built Shelby Cobra replica here at Skyway
Classics that is a very potent combination for the street.
It has serious big block performance, a five-speed manual, and a
fully independent suspension, this is one heck of a buy in the
Cobra community.
So we don't have to explain any further why you want this Factory
Five Cobra, but we are going to go through all the details so you
know this one is even better than you expected.
Mechanical
Factory Five Cobras not only capture the look of one of the world's
favorite sports cars, but they build a car that takes advantage of
the world's biggest supply of aftermarket performance.
Filling the engine bay is big bold Ford 460 cubic inch Cobra power
with that even on the finned aluminum valve covers. It's a huge 460
cubic-inch V8 engine with over 450 horsepower and monster torque
under the hood.
But more than just displacement, it has all the right performance
upgrades such as a Holley double pumper four-barrel carburetor,
aluminum intake, headers that feed those rumbling side pipes,
modified aftermarket distributor and electronics, H.D. cooling
system and radiator, finned aluminum open element air cleaner, MSD
box, and more.
It sends the power back via a manual transmission, in a chassis
with a fully independent suspension, adjustable coil overs at each
corner, thick sway bars, H.D. rear end, and a four-wheel disc brake
package.
This is a very formidable roadster that's also reliable enough to
drive every day.

Exterior
Factory Five's fiberglass is better than most and you can see it on

shows a lot of metalflake, and looks period correct with the Shelby
Cobra hood scoop, huge 5-spoke mag wheels and high performance

Conclusion
The Cobra name elicited shivers from the competition on the tracks
back in the 1960's, and still does on the street today, but real
ones command a million-dollar price.
