Vehicle Description
This 1951 Chevrolet 3100 Restomod is an awesome kind of custom
pickup that takes the iconic Chevy lines and then adds custom
details like a terrific paint theme, a well-built fuel-injected V8,
an upgraded frame, four-wheel disc brakes, an overdrive
transmission, a comfy A/C interior, and much more. And there's less
than 350 miles on this full quality build!
Chevrolet's Advance Design trucks have some of the best lines of
the era, and this one makes sure to take the desirability up a
notch with plenty of investment in both vintage and custom style.
The two-tone red and creme is a thoughtful layout that gives you a
great mix of the brightly optimistic and pleasant pastels of the
1950s. Plus, the mirror-like front chrome bumper, iconic five-piece
grille, and the glossy wood in the truck bed deliver the best
vintage elements from the 3100-series. The deleted rear bumpers,
deleted trim, top-mount side mirror, and plenty of painted
pinstriping give this the cool look of a custom you would have
built back in the day. And you'll really start to notice that some
of these added details are not only style, but they're also
functional. The color-matched rally wheel package lets you fit wide
tires for better driving. And the frenched taillights look like
Pontiac units but are really modern LEDs.
The interior continues the feelings of vintage and upgraded, and
there's premium added into the mix, too. The red returns everywhere
from the headliner to the carpeting. Plus, white is used for
accents on the door panels for a thoughtful and uniform total
presentation. The bench seat is now covered with supple leather and
has a terrific classic tuck and roll pattern insert. It all has the
excellent freshness you expect on such a low mileage build. This
also has the right upgraded comfort with an AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux
input, seat belts, and cold-blowing R-134A air conditioning. The
whole driver's layout is meant to look vintage but offer upgraded
function. The steering wheel looks like a classic Chevy unit, but
it's a more modern/grippy piece mounted on a tilt column. The dash
style is borrowed from a '59 Biscayne, and they had a round gauge
setup (now with new Classic Instruments readouts) that looked like
it belongs in a European sports car.
The engine bay continues this truck's well-coordinated and
show-worthy style. You have ivory inner walls and the motor at the
middle is red. This is a stout 350 cubic-inch crate V8. It has been
built with the right mix of modern and vintage performance. This
includes flat-top pistons, double hump heads (w/hardened valve
seats), and topped with a FiTech electronic fuel injection system.
There are the right supporting components, too, like electronic
ignition and an aluminum radiator. You'll be putting a mirror under
this one at the car show to prove the two-tone theme continues
underneath. The red shows off a new frame from Speedway Motors.
You'll also spot suspension upgrades like the tubular A-arm front
send and four-link rear. And there are more great driver upgrades,
like the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, power
steering, four-wheel power disc brakes that make for an all-around
cruiser.
Complete with the build receipts, this is the iconic Chevy truck
built for added admiration, comfort, and all-around driving. It's a
total package restomod pickup that you can't resist. Call
