Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando Florida is proud to offer this 1971
Mercury Comet Survivor. 1971 was the first year of the redesigned
Comet. Sharing the platform of the Ford Maverick the Comet offered
premium features and mature styling in a compact package. This 1971
example is believed by the owner to be all original and only a 2
owner vehicle with documentation. The white paint shows it's age
well and contrast nicely with the fully intact trim pieces and
black vinyl roof. Take a look inside and you'll find a surprisingly
well kept black vinyl interior that appears untouched from the day
it left the showroom floor. Under the hood is the optional 250
cubic inch inline six and is paired with a 3 speed automatic.
Imagine how smoothly this Comet can get up and go! The odometer
shows 68,912 miles and is believed by the owner to be original. The
original AC system is even fully intact although it does not
currently blow cold. This vehicle was originally purchased in
Hollywood, Florida and has been cared for to a level that you see
it here. If you're looking for an unmolested survivor of a car that
you just don't see too often anymore, this is the one you want to
own! Options include AM radio, hub caps, power steering, seat
belts, vinyl interior and radial tires. This 1971 Mercury Comet is
offered for sale by our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater
detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at
