Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1978
Jeep CJ5 Golden Eagle. This beautifully restored CJ5 is in amazing
shape and comes with a folder full of receipts from the build. When
looking at this jeep, it doesn't take long to notice that some
serious time and money went into the restoration. Every nut and
bolt has been touched and its apparent that no corners were cut.
The build was mostly complete in 2011 and has had the last few
parts installed within the last couple of years. During the frame
off restoration the original 304 cubic inch v8 engine, 3 speed
manual transmission, rear end, and transfer case were all
completely rebuilt and have a little over 2,000 miles on them. The
brakes, suspension, wheel bearings, axles, and the rest of the
running gear were also completely overhauled at this point. There
were a few items that were best to replace rather than restore and
those include the carburetor, ignition control module, steering
gearbox, and a few other odds and ends. The paint, body and
interior were also professionally redone and appear new like the
rest of the vehicle. This is not a jeep that will hang around here
long. These are becoming highly collectible and finding one in this
shape is no easy task. Call us today with any questions you may
have and we will be happy to talk about this ride with you. Don't
miss your chance to own this Golden Eagle! This 1978 Jeep CJ5
Golden Eagle can be seen in great detail including 100+ HD Pictures
