Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this beast of
a 1973 Chevrolet Vega. These lightweight hatchbacks have been a fan
favorite for drag racing since they came out. Vega's are often
talked about being one of the smallest rear wheel drive platforms
that you can fit a decent sized v8 in even though they never came
optioned with a V8 from the factory. Under that cowl hood is an
extremely healthy 355 chevy V8 under the hood that runs and sounds
great. From the top to the bottom we have a demon carb, Edelbrock
intake, aluminum heads, roller rockers, and all of this is
breathing through Hooker super-comp headers. Backing the engine and
putting the power down is a 350 turbo transmission and a 9" Pro
Iron Cased rear end with 4.57 gears that was built by Andy McCoy
race cars. This pro street car features a slick Electron Blue paint
job and a body that shows very well. Inside the car you will notice
the roll cage is tucked nicely and provides a decent amount of room
for the driver. Thwre are two drag racing seats that both come
equipped with a 5 point harness so you can take a passenger on
those "grocery runs". This is a great pro street cruiser that is
ready for the meets and the streets. Give us a call today to learn
how to make this yours! This 1973 Chevrolet Vega Pro Street can be
seen in great detail including 100+ HD Pictures and an HD video at
