Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to feature this 1969
Ford Mustang Mach 1 Cobra Jet. Part of the first generation on
Mustang line-up, the 1969 underwent an array of changes for the
model year. With a more "added heft to the body" varying in body
length to the width being increased by almost half an inch, and an
overall heavier body than the previous years. 1969 was the first
model to use quad headlamps placed both inside and outside of the
grille opening. The corralled grille pony was replaced with the
pony and tribars logo, set off-center to the driver's side. This
Mach 1 "R" code Mustang was given an extensive restoration with
high quality performance parts to give the driver the upper hand on
the road. The mean stance and "Gun Metal" paint with black vinyl
interior make this one of the meanest looking Mustangs around. The
rebuilt 428 Cobra Jet delivers the power while the 5-speed manual
transmission shifts like a true race car. With upgraded brakes,
suspension, stereo system, speakers and all new clutch assembly,
this car is ready to turn heads anywhere you go! Whether you are a
collector or someone who wants to really enjoy driving around with
modern accoutrements with a classic look, this Mustang is for you!
