Vehicle Description

1932 Ford Roadster - 355ci V8 - Automatic Transmission - Dark Blue Over Custom Tan Interior - 1500 Miles Since Restored - American Racing Wheels - All Steel Body - 8 Rear End (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this 1932 Ford Roadster on a website other than our Garage Kept Motors site, it's possible that you've only seen some of our many photographs of the car due to third-party website limitations. To be sure you access all the more than 140 photographs, as well as a short start-up and walk-around video, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) Iconic '32 Ford is a Hot Rodder's Dream Platform €" The Engine Block website, December 2017 The Engine Block website called it this way: Such timeless cars typically have three things in common: beautiful styling, thrilling performance, and a pristine level of innovation. We'll argue this fact with anyone, but there is practically no greater classic hot-rodding superstar than the '32 Ford. The smooth American lines were attractive from the factory and downright sexy when tweaked by hot rodders. A flathead V8 engine finally gave the masses access to an affordable level of power. That's a significant milestone in automotive history. Its powerplant served as the mechanical foundation for imaginative gearheads wanting to go after competition victories and all-out speed records. Offered here is a respectfully restored, tastefully hot-rodded, and performance-enhanced 1932 Ford Roadster in dark, smoky blue over light tan. The quality of the work is first-rate, yet restrained, particularly on the all-steel body: no added flame graphics, no outlandish paint. The car has traveled just 1,578 miles since the full restoration was completed. The exterior paint has been expertly applied, and the color is stunning. The finish is uniformly smooth with excellent luster and no sign of fading or other degradation. The roadster body-freed of its fenders and hood side panels-shows no damage, dents, or imperfections. The car's body has been lowered overall and raked slightly to the front. Chrome, suspension-mounted headlights, frame-end bars, side-mirror, front-grille trim, front-suspension members, reduced-height windshield and beautifully original, relocated taillight trim all show bright, patina-free finishes. Chrome, 5-spoke, American Racing® wheels, are mounted with Michelin® blackwall radial tires. There's an undeniable and classic American Graffiti vibe to the look. Inside, the light-tan color theme is an unexpected and handsome visual treat. Seat upholstery in this color is the result of professional work. The same surface treatment with stylized panels and carpet extends to the door trim (and the trunk walls as well). Darker tan carpeting covers the cabin and trunk floors. A banjo-style steering wheel with V8 center is period-perfect. The painted dashboard's center, oval-shaped instrument cluster's surface is bright metal surrounding six gauges. White-faced, period-look VDO® gauges are mounted. The shift lever for the automatic transmission is brushed-metal, floor-mounted, and true to the original (with the addition of a handsome shifter knob with the gear indicator). Under the hood, and in full view due to the removed side panels, a fresh, 355-cubic-inch V8 enhanced with custom, forged, finned valve covers, chrome custom air-cleaner cover, billet-aluminum bits, and custom, chrome exhaust headers makes for a powerfully engaging display. The engine bay is perfectly tidy and spotlessly clean. The car's firewall has been simplified and painted matching the body. Viewed from below, the rack-and-pinion steering system, custom, full-length dual exhaust, perfectly clean lower sides of the automatic transmission and engine, 8-inch rear end, and fully upgraded suspension components all compete for attention. The chassis is perfectly straight, undamaged, and complete. There is no rust. While the more than 140 high-definition photographs and the short
