This rumble seat roadster has had a pretty thorough restoration. It
has beautiful paint, chrome, top and interior. I drove it around
the block. Keep in mind it is a 1929 but it drove straight, didn't
shake and ran great.
EXTERIOR: This is a "highly optioned" deluxe with the fun rumble
seat. The deluxe includes dual side mount tires also known as a 6
wheeler. Accessories include stone shield, quail hood ornament,
white walls, tire covers, wing windows, step plates and a luggage
rack. It also has a chrome windshield frame that swings open. It is
a real Henry Ford metal car, not a fiberglass reproduction. The
body and fenders are straight, no damage or rust. Painted a real
sharp copper metallic with lighter gold metallic accents. The paint
is smooth and glossy. The cowl has bubbles in the paint, nowhere
else. The wire wheels are painted gold to match and they have white
wall tires. The tan cloth convertible top is in excellent shape.
The chrome is excellent. It has the step plates to climb into
rumble seat.
INTERIOR: It has a complete new upholstery kit. The seat was
rebuilt. From underneath i could see the springs are painted black,
cushion was replaced. Seat, kick panels and door panels are all
upholstered to match. New leather straps on the doors. The metal
dash has been repainted, the steering wheel is not cracked. The gas
gauge works but speedometer does not. (I don't think you will get
any speeding tickets). New rubber mat on the floor. It has a
beveled mirror.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 4 cylinder motor runs good. No knocking or
smoking. The vin on the motor matches the title. The components are
clean and proper. The hoses and clamps look recent. It has proper
carb and distributor. Upgraded from a generator to an alternator,
the belt looks new.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's not a trunk, it's a "mother in law" seat.
It's been reupholstered the same as the interior, the seat and side
panels.
UNDERSIDE: It looks clean to me. The frame is straight and solid.
All the components were cleaned and painted. The wood floors are
solid. It has correct exhaust. Bottom of the motor and the 3-speed
trans are clean. It looks proper, I did not notice anything
altered, cut or "make shifted".
Model As really make people happy. They are cute, the put put sound
is fun and the aooga horn is even more fun. When's the last time
you climbed into a rumble seat? I guarantee you will not only be
smiling but laughing too!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
