Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this handsome
and unique 1953 Hudson Hornet. Produced by Hudson Motor Car Company
of Detroit, the unique "step down" design was introduced in 1948 on
the Commodore model. This was followed up in 1951 by the Hornet
with a dual car 308 cubic inch inline 6, dubbed "Twin-H Power." The
Hornet became famous thanks to its dominance in stock car racing.
Thanks to drivers like Herb Thomas, Dick Rathmann and Marshall
Teague the Hornet won more races than any other make in 1951, 1952
and 1954. While still a sporty looking car this particular example
is less of a racer and more of a family car. The paint is a two
tone dark/light green that really catches the eye. The interior is
a time capsule to the 50s with two big bench seat upholstered in a
green cloth pattern. Under the hood is the venerable 308 Twin
H-Power Inline 6 and is paired with the optional 4 speed Hydramatic
transmission. Imagine how this Hornet can get up and go! This car
received the AACA First Prize Award in 2019. If you're looking for
a sleek classic with loads of history this is the one you want to
own! Options include AM radio, spare tire, jack, seat belts, cloth
interior and wide white wall bias ply tires. This 1953 Hudson
Hornet is offered for sale by our Orlando Showroom and can be seen
