For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Camaro in Ft Worth, Texas

Vehicle Description

This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Restomod is one of those awesome cars that takes all that's great about the Camaro, and adds slick custom touches that take it to another level. Painstakingly restored by incredibly skilled hands, this transformed bespoke beauty packs a beastly 6.2L LS3 V8 crate motor that was built for battle and features an unreal black-over-red custom suit. If showing up in an awesome piece of Chevy muscle that drops jaws in its wake is your idea of fun, then this pro-touring restomod should definitely be your next car.

This show-quality Camaro could easily compete for trophies at top levels, but to be honest, it's too great a performer just for that. Nevertheless, the custom look is unlike anything we've seen, with gorgeous one-off touches like the front roll-pan with integrated fog lights, cowl hood, wild front grille and headlight set-up, a smoothed profile with shaved door handles and black billet mirrors at the flanks, and the reworked rear end that features a 1-piece bumper and lower valance with cut-outs for the dual pipes. And if you though those touches are nice, get a load of that show-quality two-tone paint. Black over red is a killer color combination, and the custom airbrushed pinstripes that separate the two shades are nicer than anything we've seen, especially the rattlesnake pattern that expands on the sculpted quarters. Dusold Designs were the pros behind this incredible car, and they worked hard to get it into show-stopping shape, nailing the gaps, exacting all the lines, and prepping the steel to make it laser-straight, and the depth of the reflections and clarity in the body's surface shows that it's truly world-class. Most of the bright stuff was deleted, the window surrounds were blacked-out to match the paint, but you do get billet pieces adorning the custom mesh grille up front, matching trim around the custom taillights, and that 1-piece rear bumper. Even the little things were finished over-the-top, with a custom gas cap out back and airbrushed 'Camaro' emblems on the front fenders.

Red and Black is really the only interior color combination you'd choose on a Camaro like this, and the combination of vintage and new components inside does a great job to continue the car's performance theme. A sporty set of custom buckets anchor the cabin up front, with a matching rear bench in the back, and the beautiful red ultra-leather is contrasted with black accents and black seatbelts to mirror the color dynamics outside. Plush red carpets protected by black mats fit snug atop sound deadening insulation, uniquely sculpted door panels with billet accents are in excellent shape, and there's a bespoke center console with a B&M shifter in the middle that manages the modern 4L65E automatic transmission below. That purpose-built center console also houses a Classic Instruments tachometer that minds the revs, along with an Alpine head unit that powers tunes through upgraded speakers found throughout the cabin. The bright red dash was reworked with a fully integrated pad up top, there's an arsenal of Classic Instruments gauges inside stock-style pods ahead of the driver, and all the bright knobs, switches, and trim provide perfect contrast against the red backdrop. A leather wrapped Budnik steering wheel mounted atop a tilt column feels great in the driver's hands, and with options like cold A/C, remote doors, and power windows (switches hidden in ashtray), this custom cabin is a very comfortable place in which to spend some time. The spacious trunk was finished in matching red and features neatly upholstered panels that keep the battery and stereo system out of sight.

The modern 6.2L LS3 crate motor brings big firepower with awesome torque, and with the responsiveness of modern fuel-injection it's very dependable and can shred the tires at will. Rated at 430 horsepower, the modern engine pulls this F-body with ease, and features a show-stopping engine bay presentation, ready to dominate the streets for years to come. Modern fuel injection and electronics ready the motor for battle in a flash, and the engine bay is turned up to '11' with custom valve covers and a matching intake cover that mirror the 'rattlesnake' paint scheme of the exterior. There's a bright red cold-air intake system with a large cone filter, lots of chrome and polished accessories tight against the block, and a slick firewall and matching inner fenders that were finished in black and to the same level as the rest of the car. A serpentine belt system helps keep things organized, billet hinges support the hood, a giant radiator with dual electric fans keeps the whole show nice and cool, and long-tube headers were ceramic-coated and feed into a stainless Flowmaster dual exhaust below. The chassis is super clean with lined floorpans and shiny black subframe pieces, and it includes a thick sway bar and tubular A-arms in the upgraded front end, sub-frame connectors, trailing arms, a rear swaybar, and a heavy-duty 9" rear end out back, because, obviously, you're going to need some serious hardware to manage all that power. Smooth shifts are ensured by the 4L65E automatic managing the gears, and power steering and power 4-wheel disc brakes with drilled/slotted rotors ensure a great ride every time out. The ride height is aggressive but not overly slammed, so it looks right sitting on 19" Forgeline chrome wheels wrapped in performance Yokohamas.

This show-stopping Camaro blends big performance, exacting details, and an outstanding look to make one heck of an F-body restomod. Recently completed and turn-key ready, they really don't get much better than this. Call today!
