This 1968 Ford F-250 Highboy Sport Custom is an extremely nice,
original truck that spent its life in California. This truck has
had some nice upgrades done to it and it also has some nice factory
options. The color scheme and trim combo is also very cool and it
makes this truck stand out. The body on this Ford is clean and
straight and we found no rust issues with this truck anywhere which
you would expect from a California vehicle. It has a great color
scheme which is Holly Green and Wimbledon White. The green appears
to be all original, but the white appears to have been painted at
some point. This truck has the deluxe trim package and all of the
trim is in great shape. The undercarriage is also very clean as you
can see in our undercarriage photos on our website. The interior is
in really nice condition with a new dash cover, new headliner, new
vintage style stereo, and the seat being recovered. The rest of the
interior is original and in nice shape. Lights, taillights, brake
lights, blinkers are working. The gauges are all working and the
heat and AC work well. The horn is not working at this time.
Mechanically this truck is excellent and the last owner did a lot
to make it that way. This work was all done in the last 2 years
during COVID for something to do. The engine is believed to be the
original 360 V8 and it runs strong and smooth. He had the engine
rebuilt and added a Holley Aluminum intake, Edelbrock Carb, dual
exhaust, new fuel pump, and new radiator. The transmission is the
np435 that shifts great and it is mated to the Dana 24 Transfer
Case. The transmission and Transfer Case were also rebuilt by the
owner and the 4WD works like it should. It has all new u-joints in
the driveshafts. The rear axle is a Dana 60 with 4.10 Gears and the
Front Axle is a Dana 44 with 4.10 gears. He added Power Brakes and
a new set of Dick Cepek All terrain Tires recently as well to the
original wheels with hubcaps. We really enjoyed how this truck ran
and drove!!
