Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is extremely excited to be
offering for sale this very special 1965 Ford Mustang GT K code
automobile The car is in our Arizona showroom located conveniently
right of route 17 in North Phoenix. This Mustang is highly sought
after especially with the GT pedigree which accounted for only
7,273 out of the 559,451 units being produced in 1965. This Mustang
is Ivy Green which was the color used in much of the original
advertising. Say what you want about the first generation Mustang
but one cannot deny it's impact on the automotive industry and the
whole car hobby scene. This Mustang GT is powered by Fords famous
Hi Po 289 V-8 only available in the rare K code cars which was
designed especially for the true sports enthusiast. The
transmission is the infamous four speed top loader with special
gearing and Hurst shifter for the GT model. The Mustang is in
original non molested condition and shows very well. Options that
tell you that this is a real K code such as the dual exhaust side
badging and the extra steering mounted gauges really makes this
Mustang stand out. Also part of the GT package was front disc
brakes and a beefed up suspension including heavier duty shocks,
bigger front anti-roll bar and springs front and back with a higher
spring ratings to improve handling. The interior of this classic
does not disappoint with the sharp black vinyl seat coverings,
black carpet floor mounted shifter with original console and bright
hardware throughout. There certainly plenty of Mustangs out there
but not with this amount of factory options to make this car very
collectable. So please give our showroom a call to make this
original pony car yours. You can reach our knowledgeable and
