Vehicle Description
This 1985 Ford LTD Crown Victoria is pure rolling nostalgia inside
and out. It's even one family-owned car. But the son did what every
one of us really wanted to do with dad's car. The V8 is an upgraded
true power-pack setup for an incognito family hauler that now
really hauls!
The factory-correct Dark Clove Brown Metallic was given a respray
later in life. It has the right mix of a nice metallic glow, and a
touch of aged-in style to give people the impression of a classic
cruiser sedan. In fact, it plays the part of a sleeper really well
with the full classic boulevard machine appearance that includes
the pinstriping, turbine wheel covers, white and gold tire stripes,
and excellent-fitting brown vinyl roof. And as a Crown Vic, it has
a regal amount of brightwork, including the bumpers, mirror-like
rocker trim, special Crown Vic badging/ornament, and trim that
surrounds the doors.
This car has averaged under 2,300 miles annually, which is far less
than you'd expect on these full-size family haulers. And when you
add that into the single family ownership (father and son) you can
understand how this interior has been so well respected and well
preserved. The cloth upholstery is extra clean and extra comfy, and
full-sized luxury means you can choose to seat six or fold down the
armrests up front to give you a more individualized comfort. In
fact, this sedan is built to keep the driver comfortably in
control. That's why all the essential components are within easy
reach, including the tilt steering column and cruise control. This
is a terrifically preserved car, and the only upgrades you're going
to spot are features that make this a better cruiser, like the
satellite radio receiver and air conditioning blowing cold with
R134a refrigerant. The only real indication that you have that
there's something special under the hood is the SunPro aux gauge
trio mounted to the dash.
We love the secret that's under the hood here. After all, you just
knew that the family car with a V8 and rear-wheel drive was just
ready for added power to be unleashed. So this one has been
upgraded to a hot 289 cubic-inch V8 that was stated to be bored .30
over. It was built with a Lance Patton custom four-barrel
carburetor, Weiand Stealth intake, MSD ignition, and fabricated
valve covers. The headers add power while also feeding into a
2.5-inch dual exhaust with the right added tune for this upgraded
power. The full package is built to be both confident and
comfortable. That's why you have upgraded shocks and a rear sway
bar. Plus, there's power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a
four-speed automatic with overdrive.
This two-owner car comes with terrific paperwork like the dealer
invoice, original warranty card, owner's manual, build receipts,
and maintenance records. You're looking at a fun incognito custom
that is being offered for a terrific price. So if you love a
distinct and unique custom, you know you can't let this one get
away. Call today!!!
