Vehicle Description
If you're in the market for something fun that's guaranteed to hold
its appeal for a very long time, it's hard to go wrong with a
custom truck! Thanks to decades of excellence and appeal, America's
workhorses have built a devout following. And with great pieces
like this slammed C10 mixing Midwest moxie with SoCal style, it's
not hard to see why. A perfect blend of classic virtues and the
kind of showstopping aesthetics that'll always be attractive to
enthusiasts, this handsome pickup is a top-notch exercise in old
school charm and modern street rod swagger. And if you're looking
for a fun ride that's sure to turn heads, it's a great candidate
for your next classic!
SIMPLY CLEAN
Fully sorted and ready to roll, this super cool pickup is the
beneficiary of a comprehensive, ground-up build that was completed
in late 2020. The truck's rich gray pigment is set off by an
incredibly straight fuselage that mixes solid panels with tasteful
customization. That lovingly massaged profile features
better-than-factory alignment that's seated in even planes and
tight gaps. And it all adds up to one head-turning, blue-collar
classic that virtually radiates custom, no-collar style!
Naturally, this Chevy's ground-up rebuild included a roster of
subtle modifications. At the front of the truck, a familiar,
stainless-trimmed grille centers a bright bowtie between a smoothed
bumper, clear parking lamps and modern, stainless-trimmed
headlights. Behind that faade, an early Action Line hood leads the
eye to capped wipers, which found an un-chopped greenhouse beneath
shaved drip rails. That darkened glass splits a handsome profile
that's devoid of everything but stylish, monochromatic door
handles. Behind those pulls, a fully functional tailgate hides a
wood-look bed that's dotted with a tasteful billet fuel filler. And
that bed rides pretty between a custom roll pan and clean factory
taillights.
SERIOUISLY GOOD
Built to go just as well as it shows, this C10's 502 cubic inch big
block backs fierce performance with menacing acoustics! At the top
of the satin-finished mill, a polished GM Performance Parts air
cleaner funnels oxygen into a painted Ramjet intake. That intake,
wired with electronic fuel injection, feeds lightweight aluminum
heads, which tilt polished valve covers under billet breathers.
Combustion gets sparked by a traditional, points-style distributor,
which jolts eight MSD Street Fire Wires. A muted serpentine drives
spins an aluminum water pump between a painted alternator and a
painted AC compressor. Cooling is provided by a big aluminum
radiator, which aligns electric puller fans behind a polished cap
and a sculpted shroud. Spent gases traverse coated shorty headers.
The buff motor rumbles in a custom, body-matched engine bay. And
naturally, that clean frame highlights a sea of first rate hardware
that includes trick sticks, a billet power steering reservoir and
quality Wilwood brake components.
TOTALLY PROVEN
Bottom-side, the truck's massive mill twists torque through a
smooth 4L80E 4-speed and a narrowed 12-bolt axle. Those cogs drive
a fully boxed chassis that, with the help of polished Scott's
control arms and adjustable Air Lift bags, aligns an independent
front-half with a 4-link rear-clip. That slammed and smoothed
skeleton gets steered through power rack-and-pinion steering. Quick
stops are a cinch thanks to a quartet of power-assisted Wilwood
calipers. The aforementioned headers push exhaust through custom,
large-diameter pipes that are formed around polished Magnaflow
mufflers. And at the corners, massive wheel tubs frame expressive
bonspeed blades that twist 265/35R22 Falken Ziex in front of
295/35R24 Falken Ziex.
DECIDEDLY STYLISH
When you pop this pickup's doors, you'll find a stylish custom
cockpit that was professionally installed by Steve Holcomb of Pro
Auto Custom Interiors. Top dead center, double diamond pleats dress
custom bucket seats that are a great place to take in the sights.
In front of those thrones, a matte dash founds crisp Classic
Instruments telemetry beside VIAIR accessory gauges and controls
for Vintage Air conditioning. At the base of that dash, a custom,
leather-wrapped console centers a color-keyed Lokar shifter between
stainless cupholders and a touchscreen head unit that bumps a full
audio system. Factory side panels look right at home thanks to
billet handles and custom armrests. And the driver spins a polished
and half-wrapped steering wheel around a tilting, color-keyed
column.
If you're looking for a cool custom that mixes quality restoration
with unmatched style and unparalleled fun, this Chevy deserves your
full attention. It's spectacular from every angle. It plays to a
level of nostalgia that everyone can appreciate. And, whether
you're racking up trophies at a show or just spending a Saturday
afternoon on the town, it's guaranteed to be the center of
attention wherever it goes!
