Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1948
Ford Deluxe 2-door Sedan. The time was 1941, Ford felt it time to
thoroughly update their car. Production would not last long into
1942 when the government ordered the complete shut down of all
civilian automotive manufacturing. This was in direct response to
the start of the U.S.'s involvement in WWII. Ford would not be able
to restart production until 1946 and the series ran until 1948.
Here we have a '48 model, the last year of an icon from a time that
shuck the foundation of America. The car has a great stance, the
black paint and the chrome trim are set off well by the Foose
wheels. The paint has a little age but does present well. The black
vinyl interior looks and is in good shape. Paint and interior work
was completed in 2016. Under the hood is a Chevy 305ci V8 engine
running the power out through a 3-speed automatic transmission. A
strong Ford 9" rear end and a 2.75 gear ratio will make for nice
cruising. Current owner has had her for over 7 years, and in that
time replaced: battery, kick down cable seal, transmission pan
gasket, air suspension lines, intake manifold gaskets, and
transmission gasket. The title is clean and clear and ready to be
transferred into your name now! Options on this Ford are: AC, Power
Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior, AM/FM/CD, Alloy wheels, and
Radial Tires. This 1948 Ford Deluxe 2-door Sedan is offered by our
Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including
