Vehicle Description
A lifted Jeep is a great go-anywhere 4x4. But as you dig into the
details on this 1980 Jeep CJ7, you start to see a shining full
custom build that keeps plenty of off-road attitude - and now adds
a ton of appeal for the urban jungle.
This is going to be your favorite all-day adventurer. The maroon
metallic paint has the vibrant kind of style that's perfect for
spending Sunday morning showing off at Cars & Coffee, and then it
still looks awesome as you spend the afternoon at the lake. And all
those LED light upgrades mean nothing is ever too dark no matter
where you go for your night out. And there are great details
everywhere from the tan Renegade decals that go with the interior,
to the custom front panel that makes this 4x4 look like it has a
mean furrowed brow. But what we like best is how all these upgrades
get the Jeep attitude right... but does it with added flair. After
all, we've seen a blackout grille and Renegade fender flares
before, but now they are done in a high-gloss black. The rockers,
side steps, mirrors, bumpers, and large exhaust tips all have a
mirror-like shine. And the 20-inch Fuel wheels bring together the
full black and chrome package that shows off some serious style
while still giving you a lifted stance and beefy off-road
tires.
Half door and a bikini top give you the right amount of coverage
while still being able to show off the full custom interior to the
world. A comprehensive build means that not only are the floors
done in the exterior-matching maroon, but also the custom center
console and steering column, too. The stylish tan looks great on
the leather seats, and it goes with the door panels inserts,
seatbelts, and roll bar padding for more of this thoughtful uniform
style. There's an Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo, and it's your gateway to
a full custom speaker system. This features 16 speakers in total,
and it's part of a custom fiberglass enclosure that forms over the
rear. More custom details include the wood on the steering wheel
and shift knobs, bright dash panels, and a fully upgraded gauge
package with digital temp and a large Autogage tach.
Just like the exterior and interior, the engine bay has a fantastic
custom style. Smooth maroon inner walls and polished components are
attractive, and there are thoughtful details like the valve covers
with color-matched inserts. Within all this shine is the substance
of the powerful Jeep/AMC 360 cubic-inch V8. It's been upgraded with
an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and Headman
headers. It's also supported by the right pieces, like an aluminum
radiator with an electric fan and an Optima red top battery. It's a
proper 4x4 with a two-speed transfer case, and the four-speed
manual transmission gives you proper control in all conditions. But
really, you know this one has the right flair to make it great for
running around town. That's why it has power steering, power
brakes, front discs, and an overall solid feeling on the road.
