Vehicle Description
1967 Chevrolet Corvette - Triple Diamond Certification, Numbers
Matching L68 427ci/400hp LMC is very proud to offer for sale this
1967 Chevrolet Corvette The 1967 Corvette Sting Ray was the last
Corvette of the second generation, and five years of refinements
made it the best of the line. Several important changes marked the
mid-years' evolution but no change was greater than the
introduction of the 427-cubic inch engine. These Big Block cars
would be the high-water mark of Corvette performance and refinement
for the C2 series of cars. The 427/400hp L68 came standard from the
factory with the Holley triple two-barrel carburetor arrangement
called Tri-Power. Only 2101 Corvettes in 1967 received this rare
engine option which was a $305.50 cost. Body changes were modest
with five smaller front fender vents replacing the three larger
ones and the flat-finish rockers conferred a lower profile. New was
a single backup light mounted above the license plate and the
previous models' wheel covers were exchanged for the new design.
Interior alterations included revised upholstery and the handbrake
moved from beneath the dash to between the seats. This 1967
Corvette 427/400 Roadster was sold new at White Allen Chevrolet
Inc. in Dayton, Ohio on 12/23/1966 to its original owner Anthony R.
Pflum as per the original sales order. Factory ordered in the
beautiful code 986 Silver Pearl paint complemented by a black
stinger hood stripe that ties in with the 976 standard black vinyl
interior, this is a highly attractive color combination. Most
importantly, it was ordered with the rare Tri-power L68 427ci/400hp
engine option with a M21 close ratio 4-speed transmission. Other
equipment includes tinted windshield, AM/FM radio and posi-traction
axle. This rare Corvette has been completely frame-off restored to
concourse standards and has won the most prestigious awards for any
Corvette including Bloomington Gold, NCRS Top-Flight, MCACN
Concours Gold and the coveted Triple Diamond award. This example
still retains its numbers matching L68 427/400hp Tri-Power engine
which has been certified by Al Greening of CCAS. This special
Corvette comes fully documented including Tank Sticker (verified by
NCRS), 1967 certificate of title, dealer sales contract, owner's
manual, Protect-O-Plate (certified by CCAS), security agreement,
finance contract, the cheque used for payment, judging sheets,

427/400hp engine, impressive documentation, award winning

Corvette roadster is the complete package for any collector.
