Vehicle Description
This 1970 Ford Ranchero GT has an awesome triple-black style,
custom/comfy A/C interior, and proper V8 power. So this is a
mean-looking machine that has been given plenty of investments to
be extra-nice to enjoy.
The Ranchero was evolving by 1970. The new Torino styling was
firmly set into the muscle car era, and so that same flair went to
the truck sibling. That meant a long front end that's aggressively
pointed and a wide grille. This is a true GT that has factory
hidden headlights. The aggression continues with a Cora Jet style
shaker hood scoop, chin spoiler, hood pins, and new 18-inch Ridler
wheels. The whole Ranchero really is mean as midnight with the
high-gloss black that was part of an upgrade in 2012. In fact, we
have receipts for about $15k documenting solid investments going
back to 2005. So there's quality within the aggression. For
example, the factory-correct black vinyl roof is taut and premium.
There's liner paint protecting the bed. And everything from the
form-fitting front bumper to the tailgate show a quality fit in the
panels.
The black interior goes with the exterior paint and roof to give
you an ultra-desirable triple-black package. More than just the
style, you're going to love the style and comfort that comes from
the upgraded Procar bucket seats with a cup holder center console
in-between. The dash for these was very driver-oriented, and so you
are always looking at the full classic style. This one has terrific
details, like the working horizontal tac and the factory air
conditioning upgraded to R134a refrigerant. Even the Philco AM
radio is still there for display. Of course, the B&M floor
shifter is not stock, and it lets you know there's something fun
waiting for you under the hood.
The engine has a bright style with the polished Ford Racing valve
covers, air grabber, brake booster, fan shroud, pulleys, and more.
This is Ford's mighty 351 cubic-inch V8. It inhales deeply with a
four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with added power and
authority as long tube headers feed the X-pipe dual exhaust
w/Flowmasters. Plus, the Comp Cams camshaft adds to the performance
and growl of this V8. You'll even spot good supporting components
like HEI distributor, Flame Thrower coil, and an aluminum radiator.
Add in the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering,
newer front sway bar, newer sport tires, and power brakes w/discs
up front, and this Ranchero is a solid driver.
Complete with Marti Report, this V8-powered real-deal GT has all
the best investments from a triple-black style to an A/C interior.
