Companies response to the Chevrolet Corvette, even though they
chose a more personal luxury approach. The Thunderbird was an
instant success. This Thunderbird was ordered with Starmist Blue
paint and a two-tone blue interior. The owner restored this rust
free car. There is a long list of the things that were addressed in
the restoration. Paint done to the highest level (ppg paint)
Interior done over following original pattern. Engine overhauled
and re-sleeved, rebuilt 3-speed transmission, new exhaust, new
aluminum radiator w/electric fan for additional cooling, front end
rebuilt with new bushings and tie rods. The rear end has been
rebuilt, the braking system has been overhauled, new shocks Monroe.
New battery, rebuilt AM/FM radio also new gas tank. Spoke wheels
that have the blue Thunderbird center caps with new American
Classic tires. There really is nothing left to do but enjoy this
rare bird. We also can supply pictures documenting restoration, and
original build sheet. There are a lot of Thunderbirds out there ,
