Vehicle Description
1956 was the only year for the separation of Clipper from the
Packard brand. There were only 2,200 of the Clipper Custom Touring
Sedans produced. This Clipper was purchased brand-new by a family
member who drove it very little over the years. It has been
garage-kept its whole life. The Clipper came from the factory with
the special torsion bar suspension, which allows for a comfortable
ride that also can raise itself or lower itself with the
dash-mounted switch. The 352ci V8 engine has been rebuilt as well
as the brakes and suspension components, making this car a very
original, comfortable and reliable ride. The interior, including
the trunk space, is completely original with no rips or tears. The
original spare tire and high-lift jack are in the trunk. This
Clipper is well-equipped with factory power brakes, power steering,
electric antenna and a Ultramatic 3-speed automatic transmission.
The transmission was replaced in April 1969. This Clipper has
amazing style and class, with all its special characteristics and
originality making it the center of attention wherever it goes.
