Vehicle Description
This 1955 Ford F-100 half-ton pickup received a complete body-off
restoration in 2006. Power comes from a rebuilt 239ci V8 engine
mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. This Ford is equipped with
a new Howell fuel injection, 12-volt electrical system and custom
interior. The frame was stripped and powder-coated, and the brakes,
suspension, fuel tank, wiring and every nut and bolt were replaced.
The body was in good condition except for a crumpled front fender,
which was replaced with a new one. This Ford was repainted in the
original Snowshoe White over Aquatone Blue colors and an added
clear coat. When restoring the truck to stock condition, a new,
original interior was ordered, but it was just too plain for such a
beautiful truck. A custom interior was created that incorporates
the "V" from the grille into the bench seat with exterior matching
materials. This pickup is upgraded with wide whitewall tires,
beauty rings, stainless-steel bumpers, turn signals and a stereo.
The original 239ci V8 engine, 3-speed manual transmission and 3.92
ratio rear axle were all rebuilt. Towards the end of the
restoration process, in the summer of 2006, an Early Ford V8 Club
of America show was announced where this truck took Second Place in
the Truck Division and People's Choice Award. This Ford has been a
one-family-owned vehicle since new. Included in the sale is the
original carburetor, repair manuals, a car cover and the People's
Choice Award.
