Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this beautiful completely numbers matching NCRS Top Flight 1972 Corvette Stingray Convertible in fantastic condition and with the original high performance LT1 engine. This car has actually received two NCRS Top Flight awards, which is one of the most prestigious honors for any Corvette. Both NCRS Top Flight certificates and the judging sheets for both awards are also included. The car is finished in the beautiful and iconic color combination of Mille Miglia Red (973) over Black Vinyl (400). This beautiful color combination is one of the most highly desirable, truly striking, and looks great on this Corvette shark body style. This is also the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the trim tag.

This Corvette is "Numbers Matching" with the proper part numbers and appropriate date codes on the major components. We have run the numbers on literally hundreds of Corvettes over the years and there are few that are so correct and original. Items like the Holly carburetor, distributor, alternator, intake manifold, the exhaust manifolds, and even the side windows area all correct. The last six digits of the VIN, 500553, are stamped on the engine pad, which is pictured in this ad, and the engine is original to the car. The transmission is also original with the last six digits of the VIN stamped on the main case and pictured.

This car is verified as an original LT1 in a number of ways. First, on the engine pad is stamped "CKY." This suffix code denotes an LT1 with a manual transmission. The car is also confirmed as an original and authentic LT1 by the fifth digit of the VIN. In 1972 only the LT1 Corvettes with have an "L" in this spot like this car does, a base motor Corvettes will always have an "K" in the fifth digit of the VIN.

We have this car priced to sell and are offering an excellent opportunity to own a very desirable NCRS Top Flight LT1 Corvette Stingray convertible at an unbeatable value. The LT1 engine and convertible body style draw a huge premium over the standard small block and coupe body styles. The LT1 is even more rare, collectable, and more valuable than a big block Corvette. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as the market on C3 "chrome bumper" Corvettes from 1968 to 1972 is absolutely red hot right now and on the rise. Please peruse all of the photos, video, list of numbers, and other information below to get a true sense of how nice this LT1 Corvette really is.

As a side note, this Corvette is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our Corvettes come from owners who expect their car to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Corvette, just give us a call.

The Mille Miglia Red exterior is in excellent condition. As one can see in the photos, the finish has dazzling gloss, smooth finish, and deep shine. The rally wheels and center caps are in fantastic condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. Please note that this car still has the original 4-clip style beauty rings, not the cheaper foreign made replacements. The BF Goodrich raised white letter tires have plenty of tread left and are correctly sized 225/70R15. The chrome looks great as one can see in the photos. The soft top is in terrific condition with no rips, holes, or frayed edges. The rear window is perfectly clear and not scratched, foggy, or yellowed. There are no major blemishes that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There are a few tiny imperfections around car that were too faint to show up in pictures, but nothing else that is really noticeable from about five feet away. As one can see in the many photos of the underside this car is very clean underneath and has no rust issues. The frame is totally solid around the "key hole" area in front of the rear tire and we have seen no evidence of corrosion around the windshield or "birdcage" area, which is the most common spots for rust on a C3 Corvette. We have included specific photos of the areas most prone to rust to show how nice this car looks.

The Black Vinyl interior of the Corvette is in outstanding condition. The seats are in excellent shape with no rips, split seams, or excessive wear. The seats are not overly worn in the typical area where the driver gets in and out. The gauge faces are clean and crisp and the lenses are clear. The carpet is also in great condition with no rips or holes. This includes the rear carpet, which is often neglected. The original radio is still in the car and most importantly the dash has never been cut or modified for an aftermarket installation. The door panels are in nice shape overall. The dash and console are in excellent shape with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. This Corvette has never been smoked in; there are no burns marks and no aroma of cigarettes.

Corvette interiors from this era are not known to wear well, especially for a convertible, and the excellent condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this car has received throughout its life.

This Corvette seems to be in great mechanical condition. The original numbers matching LT1 engine runs well and idles smooth. The car drives great and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes do not pull to one side or the other. The shifter is tight, the transmission does not pop out of gear, and the clutch feels good. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as one can see in the photos. Even smog pump and upper and lower ignition shielding are still in place.

The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, dash lights, and wipers all work. All of the gauges work and even the clock runs. The blower for the heater works on all speeds. Both fresh air vents for the passenger compartment work. The "Door Ajar" light works and even the "Head Lamps" light on the dash works. The "Head Lamps" light goes on properly when the headlights are first turned on and goes off as it should when the headlight rise up. The entire vacuum system for the headlights and wiper door works correctly. Please note that the vacuum system works properly from both the respective switches on the dash and the override switches. The entire operation from both switches can be viewed in the video.. The original radio does not work. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the power from the LT1 engine and the top down on a beautiful day.
