For Sale: 1965 Ford Mustang in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

EXTERIOR: This fastback has some pop! The body is smooth and straight from the rockers to the roof. I don't see any signs of rust or damage, no bubbles. It has a scoop on the hood. The Wimbledon white paint is polished smooth and glossy. The red Shelby stripes over the top and on the sides are painted on smooth to the touch. The bumpers, emblems, taillights, gas cap, door handles, mirrors have been replaced. The stainless trim around the windows and rain gutters are new. The windshield is replaced. It rolls on new 15x7 chrome GT style wheels with brand new Coker redline radial tires.

INTERIOR: Born with a red deluxe interior, stunning against the white. The pony interior includes upgraded upholstery with embossed horses, deluxe molded door panels with the knife handle door openers, woodgrain trim and a deluxe steering wheel. It's been restored very nicely. Other features include red seat belts front and back, a fold down rear seat and a center cushioned armrest with cup holders. It also has a digital retro stereo with auxiliary plug in the dash new. The complete wiring harness was replaced, new ignition and wiper switches. Interior lights work.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a performance built 289 that's been bored, stroked and balanced. It's now a 331 making over 300 hp. It has a mild cam, higher flowing heads with hardened valves, Edelbrock intake, double pumper four barrel carb and a set of headers. New wiper motor. The heavy duty radiator was boiled, cleaned and painted. It has unique custom made double tanks, one for coolant and one for wiper fluid. The motor is dressed up with finned aluminum Cobra valve covers and air cleaner. Upgraded Borgenson power steering system, upgraded power brake system with a dual reservoir master cylinder. The engine bay is all clean metal painted a smooth satin black finish. The VIN number is stamped on the inner fender and the buck tag is still there too.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean, solid metal. It's been neatly spatter finish painted with a spray gun. It has a matching mat and tire cover. New full size spare tire.

UNDERSIDE: The front end has been rebuilt. I can see new bushings, ball joints, steering box etc. New gas shocks all around. New dual exhaust system with Dynomax mufflers and chrome oval tips. New fuel system including the tank and sending unit. Looking up at the motor it is clean, starter looks. The C-4 automatic transmission was rebuilt, has a heavy duty stall converter. The drive shaft has been balanced. The rear end has been rebuilt, new axle bearings and a 2.80 gear ratio. The brakes have been completely rebuilt, the fronts are upgraded with Wilwood disc that have drilled and slotted rotors.

This is one sharp looking Mustang 2+2! No denying that. It has impressive quality throughout. The performance built motor makes for a fun ride too!
