For Sale: 1932 Ford Highboy in Lutz, Florida

Vehicle Description

The look of this 1932 Ford Highboy Roadster is pure flair. You can do that when the bold red and big chrome style is backed up by serious dual-quad big block power.

Take some time to appreciate the full custom build. The red paint loves to grab attention, especially with this and glossy application. And once the sunlight catches it, the modern luster highlights the flowing lines of this roadster. The fiberglass body is a quality example that merges almost seamlessly with the frame. It loves to show off the sleek curves that come from enlisting a classic Ford design for hot rod duty. In fact, where others use chrome for ornamentation, this one wants to make sure the brightwork deliberately draws your eye to some of the best pieces. It can be the vintage parts, like the waterfall grille, headlight buckets, and low-cut windshield. And the largest shine might just be from a modern upgrade to Boss wheels with an aggressive 18/20-inch front/rear stagger. It gives you a classic stance, but the ability to fit some grippy modern rubber. And while the full build has the look of a serious machine, we love how the Radio Flyer decal on the frame. After all, going full-out in this hot rod will give you the same wind-in-your-hair rush you has when piloting your little red wagon as a kid.

The interior is on display for everyone to see, and so they made sure it was for both function and flair. Custom red streaks in the doors coordinate with the dash and seat accents for a well-coordinated style. And with only 7,300 miles on the build, everything has a well-done look. It has the feel of a more comfortable setup with a plush seat, full carpeting, and good space. Of course, the upgrades also make this a better driver. You've got an awesome-looking wood and chrome steering wheel, a tilt column, a B&M shifter, and a crisp set of classic-style AutoMeter gauges.

A motor like this gets extra attention to be put on display. The big polished air grabber, matching valve covers, and slick firewall show off a sleek attitude. And some of the best ways to keep this tidy are great functional upgrades, too, like the serpentine belt system, electric fan, MSD Pro Billet distributor, and steel braided ones w/AN fittings. At the center of it all is serious big block power. This is believed to be a 454 cubic-inch V8, and it's upgraded with the best go-fast goodies. That means dual Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors, a Weiand high-rise intake, aluminum heads, and lake-style headers. You can get a nice tumble out of the glasspack-style dual exhaust, but any time you really want to bring true hit tor thunder, there are also a set of cutoffs directly on those pipes. And if you look at the undercarriage photos, you'll see more of the red and chrome that will have you putting a mirror under this one at the car shows. You'll also spot worthwhile upgrades, like the strong custom frame, four-link front & rear, and adjustable rear coilovers. The three-speed automatic transmission, power brakes, front discs, and BF Goodrich sport tires are all part of a solid driving package in this powerful Highboy.

Complete with maintenance records, this is the dual-quad slick-red roadster that is going to create a lot of envy. So if you don't want to covet this Highboy, you need to take it home today!
