Exceedingly Rare 1971 Pontiac GTO Convertible
The next amazing classic up for grabs in our Fairfield showroom is
this gorgeous 1971 Pontiac GTO 2 Door Convertible with beautiful
Nordic Silver Poly exterior paint and a well-maintained black vinyl
interior. You'll find a 400 cubic inch V-8 engine under the hood
with a four barrel carburetor, Edelbrock heads and intake manifold
with a 3 speed automatic transmission. This highly desirable
example also comes equipped with factory air conditioning, power
steering, power disc brakes, a power top, a functional hood
tachometer and aftermarket 17" honeycomb wheels with Continental
Extreme Contac tires (275/40ZR 17's in the front and 285/70ZR 17's
in the rear).
This 1971 Pontiac GTO Roadster is one of only 678 produced in the
1971 model year and it is in excellent overall condition.

The current owner of this 1971 Pontiac GTO Convertible took
possession of this spectacular example back in 2017 and was drawn
to it due to the highly original condition and the excellent
factory options. We do not know if the drivetrain is original to
this classic but we can tell you that it delivers excellent overall
performance with great acceleration and very nice handling. As you
can see from the photographs, the engine bay appears highly correct
with the addition of Edelbrock accessories and this one is an
absolute pleasure to drive.
Additionally, this 1971 Pontiac GTO Convertible has a very nice
aggressive stance in person and the exterior reveals only minor
imperfections to the beautiful Nordic Silver paint. The alignment
of the body panels are very close to perfection and the trim and
metal work are also in above average condition for a high-end
driver of this caliber. The soft top is also newer in appearance
and does not have visible rips or tears.
In terms of interior condition, this classic has a very nice stock
appearance with a correct dash, center console and gauges. The
seating has also been reupholstered in recent years so this example
does not require anything to be enjoyed right away around town or
at local events; it is easily one of the cleanest examples we've
come across in quite some time.
