This 1984 Jeep CJ7 is a very cool Jeep that spent most of its life
in California. The last owner has owned this rig for the last 20
years and he was in the military so the Jeep travelled around with
him. This is an all metal and rust free rig and there are a lot of
modifications to make this it a cool and reliable driver for
someone. We have a lot of receipts for work done over the years and
they add up to around $10,000. The body on this CJ is excellent
with no rust issues to be found anywhere. The Almond paint appears
to be all original and it does show its age with some great patina.
The underside is also very clean with no rust or patches that we
could find. It has aftermarket bumpers front and rear and matching
side bars were added too. It has a newer Best Top Soft top and
doors. The inside is in good condition and is pretty basic with
bucket seats and center console. The seats are also best Top and it
has Tuffy Lock Boxes front and rear. The Rear Box has extra parts
including a Bikini Top. All of the lights, gauges, heat, wipers,
and the horn work.
Mechanically this jeep is excellent with a lot of money spent in
this area. The engine is the bulletproof 258 Inline 6 that was
totally rebuilt around 24,000 miles ago (have receipt). It runs
really well with no issues that we could find. They added a new
Mopar Valve Cover and added a header with Flowmaster Exhaust. Other
than that it is mostly stock. The transmission is the T5 5 Speed
manual that shifts nice and there was a new clutch installed when
the engine was rebuilt. It has the Dana 300 Transfer Case and the
4WD works like it should. The rear axle is the AMC 20 and the Front
Axle is a Dana 30 and they both have 3.31 Gears. This Jeep has a 4
Inch SuperLift Kit with new springs, new shackles, extended
stainless brake lines, new sway bar links, new steering links, and
rancho Adjustable Shocks. This is all sitting on a nice set of
Aluminum Rims with 35 Inch BFG All terrains. Really cool Jeep!!
