For Sale: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

This real Bel Air has been body off frame restored and loaded up with eye appeal and accessories. Ride in comfort while using all 410 horsepower shifting through the gears.

EXTERIOR: This is a slick looking Bel Air. The body is straight down each side, no damage or blistering. The gaps lineup nice and square. The door handles were removed and filled for a clean look and now open by remote. The bright red paint is polished out very smooth and glossy. All of the chrome and stainless trim was replaced at the time of restoration. It has LED taillights. Jambs are painted nicely, weather strips are replaced. It rides on 18 inch Boyd Coddington Torque Thrust II smoothie wheels with BFGoodrich G-Force performance tires.

INTERIOR: Completely redone floor to ceiling. Under the carpet is Dynamat sound deadener. You will be pampered in this 57. The seats are 8-way power, heated and have lumbar. The air conditioning uses new controls that look like the original. Listen to your favorite tunes on the Kenwood stereo system that has subwoofers, 6x9 speakers in back and kick panel speakers with tweeters in front. All digital dash including the clock. The chrome tilt column has a nice leather wrapped steering wheel. It even has power windows. The seats and door panels are all upholstered to match. The rear seat folds flat with a carpeted back. The carpet on the floor has bound edges and matching Bel Air mats. The headliner and visors have been redone. There are seat belts front and back.it has billet armrests, vent window cranks and pedals. The interior lights work.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 350 Chevy engine has a 410 horsepower Edelbrock rebuild kit. It has aluminum heads that were ported to match the aluminum intake. It has roller rockers, 533 lift cam, powder coated shorty headers, an Edelbrock carb with electric choke and HEI ignition. The motor is dressed up with aluminum valve covers, breathers and air cleaner. The front of the motor has aluminum pulleys. It runs cool with an aluminum water pump, overflow bottle, a big aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. The heater and radiator hoses are stainless. It features a modern air conditioning system, power steering and power brakes. It has an external vacuum can because of the performance camshaft. New wiring harness, new horns.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's boxed, upholstered and carpeted. The battery has been relocated to the trunk. The spare has a custom cover.

UNDERSIDE: The front end looks like it's been apart and rebuilt. Bushings, springs, shocks, etc were replaced. Upgraded swaybars front and back. In back the spring bushings and shocks were replaced also has tubular traction bars. 2 1/2 inch all stainless steel Pypes exhaust system with x-pipe. Bottom of the motor is clean, it has a heavy duty scattershield. That's a Tremec 6-speed transmission with a hydraulic clutch. A custom aluminum driveshaft connects to a 3.73 posi rear end with race axles. Upgraded brake system. It has drilled and slotted rotors at all four wheels, replaced e-brake assembly, brake lines and hoses. Floors appeare to be really dry and solid, the rockers and braces are clean. The body bushings have been replaced.

The first few gears can set you back in the seat, then click it into 6th on the highway and cruise all day long. This 57 Bel Air checks all the boxes- looks, performance and comfort!
