Bought at the factory in Germany by the current owner's mother, this car is a one family car. Having spent the first 11 years in California under the original owner, the car then passed on to the daughter and spent the next 39 years on Wisconsin and South Dakota. The car was exceptionally well maintained, was always garaged, and was never driving in winter or inclement weather. The Mercedes-Benz is in good condition and runs well.
This Mercedes benefitted from regular maintenance and needed repair work by a single mechanic who specializes in import cars. While the vast majority of maintenance was routine and on schedule, the owner is disclosing that one piston did receive attention, one fender was replaced, and a radiator hose incident led to repair, all by the expert mechanic.
The driving comfort on this car is enhanced by having aftermarket Air Conditioning installed. There is one slight upholstery tear on the driver's seat, a door pocket on the passenger side displays a tear The carpet on the driver's side has a wear through spot that covered by rubber mats. The car has had a professional re-paint to original color. The White exterior with black interior is a great color combination for this highly desired car. Only 830 cars were produced in 1971, adding to their allure and collectability.
Two original Mercedes Benz tool sets in pristine condition are included, with some tools having Mercedes labels. The odometer reads 20827, but only records 5 digits. The owner is reporting the mileage to be 120,827.
This car has both the hard top and the soft top. The present condition of the soft top is unknown.
