Pontiac discontinued the GTO from its line-up in 1974 and
reintroduced the name for only 3 years from 2004 to 2006. This 2006
Pontiac GTO is an excellent example of the final, and most sought
after year, of the re-introduction GTO. Powered by the LS2 6.0
Liter V8 that produced 400 HP and 400 lb-ft torque and backed by
the 6 speed manual transmission. It has been noted that these 2006
GTO's were the fastest Pontiac ever produced and were capable of a
0-60 time of just 4.6 seconds. The great sound comes from the
factory dual exhaust with chrome tips. The stopping power comes
from the 4 wheel power disc brakes. This fine example runs and
drives extremely well. Very low original miles at just 6400 and a
true 1 owner car which has been meticulously maintained. The
stunning Spice Red Metallic exterior is in excellent condition.
This GTO comes with 2 sets of wheels, including the factory
original wheels. The black leather interior is also in excellent
condition. Loaded with options including power steering, 8 way
power front bucket seats, 200-watt 10 speaker audio system with 6
disc in dash cd changer, steering wheel stereo controls, power door
locks, power windows, air conditioning, automatic headlights,
factory fog lights, and rear spoiler. This car has been well
preserved, with little to no flaw. Most of the factory markings and
labels under the hood and throughout the bottom side of the car are
still visible. You will not be disappointed in this collector
quality GTO.
