Over the past 109 years, Chevrolet has built such a vast empire of lovable offerings that some of them just seem to get overlooked. One of the most substantial victims of that unfortunate phenomenon is the storied Nova. Introduced in 1962 as an affordable and traditional compact, the frugal Chevy II was peddled in a wide variety of configurations. But it wasn't until the late sixties that the Nova sprouted some serious cubic inches and grew into a bona fide muscle car. This brilliant little 62 Nova resto-mod, Convertible has been converted into one of the sickest rides around via some great body & paintwork, as well as upgraded suspension work and a hot 383 stroker motor. Thanks to a good southern body to start with, this is one super cool hot rod that can be both driven and displayed. So if you're shopping for a fully sorted cruiser that puts a modern spin on an old-school favorite, it's a great candidate for your next classic!

SUPER STAR NOVA

The beneficiary of a detailed, ground-up restoration that was completed over the course of a few years, this little convertible V8 coupe is founded on good solid sheet metal that was, according to the car's past owner, stripped bare before being massaged to greatness. Not surprisingly, every seam on this Main Street king has been aligned to a better-than-factory fit. When you step close to its vivid pigment, you'll find flat surfaces that have traveled mere weekend miles since they were buffed up. And ultimately, it all adds up to one very impressive classic that looks right at home reflecting summertime car shows!

The subdued and classy lines of the prototypical 62 Nova are timeless & conservative all at the same time. And because they're so universal in appeal, they've continued to gain significant popularity. At the front of this Chevy, a mirrored bumper frames stylish parking lamps beneath an aluminum-trimmed crisp grille that's bookended by factory headlamps. Behind that grille, a full trimmed hood leads the eye to like-new glass that's cased in straight trim, polished wipers. At the sides of that glass, conservative profile centers polished mirrors and traditional GM door handles. On the flawless front fenders are some small tasteful "383" badges located on the lower fender. And at the back of the car, a second mirrored bumper frames a familiar Nova rear trunk panel between bright taillights and a tasteful "Chevrolet" center emblem.

NO FLUFF RETRO

Open this Nova's solid doors and you'll find a mildly modified interior that wraps a nice blend of classic style and modern convenience around traditional white vinyl seats. A monochromatic dash hangs a new gauge cluster with a new Classic instrument Gauge cluster to tell you what's happening under the hood at all times. Besides upgraded heat and defrost is a new AC system to keep you cool if it gets too hot for you on these Summer days. A modern head unit by AutoSound and new speakers were added to complete the interior & dash upgrades. Fresh carpet floats about solid floor pans. The driver spins a new wood steering wheel with a three-spoke aluminum center and a Chevy bow tie to complete the fresh look. And naturally, this Nova's trunk is just as nicely finished as its cockpit. Comes complete with a spare and an extra convertible top boot in Red.

In 1962, this Chevy represented some of the best performance your money could buy. Currently, it represents some of the coolest muscle on the collector car market for its price range. Super nice first-generation Novas are a rare find, let alone in a convertible! Don't miss your chance to own one of the coolest classics on the planet!
