Work by Carrozzeria Scaglietti Styling by Pinifarina The Mondial
was, at the time, one of Ferrari's most commercially successful
models, with over 6,000 examples produced over its thirteen-year
run. The Mondial underwent many updates throughout its production
with four distinct variants produced. Starting with the Mondial
8coupelaunched in 1980, the vehicle which served as sole
V8-enginedGrand Touringor "GT" vehicle within the Ferrari range.
This example has been part of a predominant Orange County
collection for over 10 years, this matching numbers car has been
meticulously maintained, driven primarily to cars and coffee. The
car was treated to an interior retrim with new leather seats in
original navy blue, including stitched cavalino headrests. The car
was fitted with chrome Ferrari 360 rims and wears its original blue
paint. This classic Enzo era Mondial has had a recent service
consisting of a Tune-Up with including replacements of all fluids,
new plugs, timing, new battery, oil change, radiator flush,
tire/brake Inspection. The car has clean California title, no
history of damage. The exterior is in very good condition. 2 small
surface rust spots as seen in the photos. This Pininfarina designed
Mondial 8 is one of only 703 examples built with Ferrari's most
reliable engine, the 308, a 3-liter 8 cylinder producing 214 BHP.
The 5-speed manual gearbox shifts through its classic "gated
shifter" cleanly with no synchro grinding. This is an excellent
daily driver that is one of Ferraris most economical drivetrains to
maintain.
