Vehicle Description
1936 Chrysler Imperial Airflow The Chrysler Airflow is a full-size
car produced by Chrysler from 1934 to 1937. The Airflow was the
first full-sized American production car to use streamlining as a
basis for building a sleeker automobile, one less susceptible to
air resistance. Chrysler made a significant effort at a fundamental
change in automotive design with the Chrysler Airflow, but it was
ultimately a commercial failure. This would be one of the dealers
favorites. A 1936 Chrysler Imperial Airflow that's in incredible
condition based on the fact that it's 84 years old! This is a
rust-free car in its original bronze paint that is still very
attractive, showing some patina which just adds to its originality.
Upon inspection it was clear that the car was in need of a brake
job, so it now has new wheel cylinders, new brake shoes, new master
cylinder as well as some of the weatherstripping was dry rotted so
the door weatherstrips and decklid weatherstrip was replaced as
well. Turnkey condition, everything is in working order with the
exception of the radio. Lights, horn, Clock, lights, heater all are
in working order. Drives down the road as it should, the ride and
handling as well. An awesome time capsule in every respect. Check
out the photos of the underside there's just no bad news.
