Vehicle Description
The 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is already a legend on its own,
and this example delivers correctness. That means a sharp-looking
correct style, correct Shelby specific features, and even an era
correct HiPo motor under the hood. It all makes for a
well-documented and highly correct car!
The original generation Shelby GT350 is one of the most
sought-after Mustangs around because it was never bashful about its
sense of speedy style. And that only got more aggressive on the
later cars, like this '67. The custom fiberglass hood, functional
side scoops, and integrated decklid spoiler - it all makes an
impressive statement. The fastback is finished with its
factory-correct Candyapple Red. It was given a high-quality respray
later in life, and so it continues to have the radiant look of a
well-respected car. And the color looks great against the white
racing stripes and rocker triple stripes. And the full correct
Shelby package is complete with the hood pins, grille lights,
snake-bitten badges - including on the gas cap. Those mag-style
wheels even have classic Goodyear Speedway white-letter tires!
The interior has a terrific style that is clean, correct, and
performance-oriented. This is a time capsule of a car. So there has
been a careful eye to preserve it as best as possible, and when a
replacement was needed, they looked for the correct OEM piece. The
atmosphere is very vintage everywhere from the pattern of the
deluxe seating to the AM radio that's still cranking out tunes. But
your favorite pieces are all about a performance driver. A folding
rear seat, overhead roll bar, and shoulder harnesses are all Shelby
must-haves. You'll put your left hand on the wood-rimmed steering
wheel, and your right one the classic shifter. It will give you
that proper tingle of performance even before you see the large
speedo and tach do their dance. There are even era-correct
auxiliary gauges below the dash. It all makes for a car of
distinction, and this one is absolutely worth noting. It's just one
of 1,175 of 1967 GT350 fastbacks ever made, and don't forget, this
was the last year these were built at Carroll Shelby's
facility.
Under the hood is a terrific-looking power package. It has the
proper GT350 look, right down to the Cobra decals and valve covers.
This is a highly documented car, and that includes an era correct
HiPo 289 cubic-inch V8. The mighty V8 inhales deeply with a Holley
four-barrel carburetor, and the dual exhaust has a set of
Flowmasters to give it a terrific tune. And you're in complete
control of the power and high-octane soundtrack thanks to the
toploader four-speed manual transmission (also a numbers-matching
piece.) We have a Marti Report that tells us this was optioned with
power steering and power front disc brakes, and that combines with
the sports suspension to make it very easy for you to want to add
to the low odometer.
The sale comes with awesome paperwork, including an invoice copy,
partial window sticker, the original title, component receipts, and
the Marti Report. So if you're a true enthusiast who must have a
time capsule Shelby, call today!
