Vehicle Description
The 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS hardtop is a legend on wheels. So when
you can get one that has been upgraded with an awesome small block,
an overdrive transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, and a bucket
seat A/C interior, it turns your dream car into the ultimate
cruiser.
This was born a desert beige coupe, but it's gotten bolder with
professional application of red later in life. That also means a
modern shine that gives this one added distinction. And that's
exactly what you want because this is the kind of car to be seen
in. The big chrome bumpers with ribbed inserts, a formal look to
the pillarless hardtop, and full-length trim with a machine-turned
insert are all part of this legendary style. So it's great to have
it so crisply presented on this example. And the 18-inch salt flat
style wheels have a great vintage attitude while also giving this
the unmistakable stance of an upgraded machine.
The all-black interior is a nice pairing with the red exterior. The
full package has a look of quality with good carpeting, upholstery,
door panels, and dash pad. As a Super Sport, you get desirable
features like bucket seats, a center console, and the
machine-turned inserts in the dash. Plus, the added SunPro tach and
auxiliary gauges are a nice indicator of something special under
the hood (more on that in a moment.) And as a full-size Impala, you
get plenty of space to share the experience with others. So you
have features to keep them all comfortable like the retro-style
AM/FM stereo w/cassette and a cold blowing air conditioning.
The presentation in the engine bay is amazing with smooth
color-matched inner walls and firewall. Even the valve covers and
air grabber are done in red, too. And while this is stylish, this
appreciates its history in details like the washer refill bottle
mounted to the inner fender. Another cool way to respect its
heritage has to do with the motor. This was the years where the 409
cubic-inch V8 was truly legendary. This one gets close to that
displacement in its own way with a 406 cubic-inch performance small
block. Not only does it weigh less than the 409 big block, but you
also have performance pieces like aluminum heads, a Holley
four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock air-gap intake, and long tube
headers. A lumpy cam and the Flowmaster dual exhaust make sure that
this big power package also has a terrific soundtrack. But this is
more than just muscle. The aluminum radiator with dual electric
fans helps keep the full package running cool even when you're in
traffic, and the four-speed automatic transmission delivers
highway-friendly overdrive comfort. So this coupe has an all-around
good driving nature. That's why you also have a Hotchkis front sway
bar, power steering, and Wilwood four-wheel power disc brakes.
A legendary look meets all the features you want. That makes this
your dream car, and it's ready to run right now. Call today!!!
