Vehicle Description
This 1969 Ford Mustang Convertible has added style and V8 power. It
makes for quite an attractive drop-top especially when this icon is
also quite affordable.
The '69 Mustang had arguably the most aggressive face of the first
generation. This one takes that attitude to heart with the hood
scoop, triple rocker stripe, and full-width rear spoiler. There's
even a blackout grille and rear panel to go with it all. The fog
light in the grille and GT wheels are more great speedy touches.
But there's also elegance within the aggression. After all,
Wimbledon White is a legendary pony car color, and it has the good
gloss of a quality later application. And the whole car has a clean
and complete look with just the right hint of originality. Plus,
the convertible top has the good look of a newer piece. And when
it's in place, it goes with the other dark details to give this one
an almost two-tone style.
The trim tag tells us this was born with a gold interior, but on a
car like this, only black will do. After all, the darkness looks
good on a pony car, and on this one, it does a terrific job of
coordinating with the exterior accents. The upholstery, carpeting,
door panels, and dash pad all have a good look that keeps this
interior attractive. There's also the right sense of classic style
here, right down to the details. That's why both the factory AM
radio and air conditioning controls are still there for display
(they will need servicing and/or components if you want to return
the function.) And this feels like a proper driver's car with front
bucket seats w/headrests, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a full
gauge package w/tach.
The engine bay gives a stock first impression. Even the bold blue
air grabber has the right callout for this H-code car. But there's
a bit of a secret here because this 351 cubic-inch V8 now has a
Holley four-barrel carburetor, a Holley intake, an updated coil,
and newer plug wires. It's built to be a good driver with a
three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes,
and wide Cooper Cobra tires.
This is a sharp drop-top pony car that has the right look for both
aggression and elegance. Call today!!!
