For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Malibu in Lavergne, Tennessee

Vehicle Description

This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Restomod has a very cool kind of dilemma. It has the slick paint and custom style that can win you awards at the shows. But since it has a fuel-injected LS3 motor, overdrive transmission, and a comfy A/C interior, it might be hard to get you off the road long enough to show this one off.

There's less than 800 miles on this full build, and so the details are fresh. And that kind of quality starts with the paint. The burgundy has the kind of shine that can grab your attention from across a show field. And they really took their time to get the body straight before the first drop of paint went on top. The result is a coupe that loves to have the sunlight dance across its curves. The bumpers, badging, and trim all have the classic premium Malibu look. But this one doesn't get to complexly fly under the radar. After all, there's an unmissable power bulge on the super scoop cowl hood. And the American Racing Torq Thrust wheels have a bright polish to draw extra attention to the wider rear tires and awesome stance.

The interior focuses on big fresh and inviting, and only hints at the big power in subtle ways. The door panels, upholstery, dash pad, headliner, and carpeting all have the feeling of a proper investment. Bucket seats, a center console, and a factory SS steering wheel have a true vintage style, but they have a fresh feel to give you confidence in this driver's environment. The horseshoe shifter looks all-stock, but keen eyes will notice the extra gear, and the restored dash now features a stock bezel filled with new Dakota Digital instruments. You'll love rolling down all the windows on this pillarless hardtop to hear the sounds of the motor. And thanks to cold-blowing R134a air conditioning, you can easily enjoy this even throughout the summer.

Under the hood is a new GM Performance 6.2L LS3 V8. This obviously wasn't factory-issue, but the way it fits in this professional upgrade looks like it could have been here from day one. This fuel-injected powerhouse packs 495 horsepower and 473 lb-ft of torque right out of the box. The entire setup was professionally done using all new GM controllers and an American AutoWire harness. There are the right supporting pieces, like the accessories managed by a Holley serpentine system, and a large BeCool aluminum radiator with twin electric fans helps keep the full package running cool. A GM Performance 4L70E four-speed automatic that was made to handle big power machines like this, and it connects to a heavy-duty Eaton Tru-Trac 12-bolt rear end filled with Richmond gears. Hooker Super-Comp Titanium ceramic-coated long-tube headers feed a custom 2.5-inch H-pipe dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers for an awesome high octane soundtrack. The undercarriage photos show fresh suspension components, right down to the bushings. Plus, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and wide BF Goodrich T/As are great for all-around good driving.

This is the ideal mix of show and go. So don't miss this very custom Chevelle Malibu hardtop. Call today!!!
