This 1927 Ford Model T is an awesome custom total construction
where it gets your hot rod fantasy correct, right down to the
pinstriping.
They call the matte paint Hot Rod Black because there's a meanness
here that just belongs on a lightweight coupe built for speed. And
this one really takes its attitude seriously, right down to the
drilled windshield overhang. As you get closer, you see all the
best pieces. There are inches chopped out of the roof, the
fiberglass body is channeled over the frame for that low look, this
has the iconic waterfall grille, and the fender lines have been
released for an ultra-smooth style. And the pinstriping here is
terrific. You have a custom design on the grille housing and the
trunk. It's done in red and white to coordinate with the bold
elements of the car, like the headers, ladder bars, wheel, and
whitewall tires.
The interior continues the well-done color theme. In fact, the
custom bench seat kicks it all off nicely with the black ben with
white tuck and roll insert and red piping. There's a quality feel
in the details with the loop carpeting, billet door handles, and
Lokar floor shifter. The red steering wheel is a cool style touch,
and it gives you a clear view to the column-mounted tach and the
dash full of white-faced gauges.
A proper hot rod needs a proper V8. That's why you have an awesome
small block on display. We really dare you to find another
component on this 327 cubic-inch V8 that can have an award-worthy
shine. This has the right performance pieces like an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor, upgraded intake, and that awesome-looking
header directly feeding the rumbling exhaust. A quality build also
means good supporting components, like an electronic ignition and
an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. And it has the right features
for the road, like a three-speed automatic transmission, front disc
brakes, and adjustable coilovers in the rear.
