Vehicle Description
This 1965 Ford Mustang has been upgraded with added V8 power,
four-on-the-floor, four-wheel disc brakes, and an upgraded
suspension. So while this has a speedy look on the outside, it's
also great to know there are the right components to back it up,
too.
We like the first impression this one gives off. After all, blue
and white is a Shelby kind of color combo. The package is done with
care where the blue has a terrific luster. The white racing stripes
are a comprehensive package that goes over the roof and below the
bumpers. They were painted on and cleared over to be part of this
smooth total look. There are some signs of enjoyment in this
derailed finish, but the more you look at this car, the more you
realize it was absolutely built for driving fun. Clean lines and
bright chrome bumpers give the car a quality look, and everything
from the upgraded wheel to the GT-style dual exhaust tell you this
pony car can earn its racing stripes.
The interior continues the blue and white treatment. The seats and
door panels are tastefully intertwined in the two-tone, and the
carpeting, headliner, and dash all coordinate. There's even a cool
blue glow from upgraded LED lights. As an upgraded cruise, you have
a retro-style AM/FM radio for better driving music. Plus, it's more
fun to slip into the driver's seat when you have a wood-rimmed
sports steering wheel. It's on a tilt steering column to give you a
good view of the full set of MP gauges - including a large speedo
and handy tach.
Just like the rest of the car, the motor has an unmistakable look
of a solid investment. This is a first-year Mustang, and they would
have to wait a little longer to get a 302 cubic-inch V8. But this
has the extra displacement. Plus, there is a Holley four-barrel
carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and finned Mustang valve covers.
There are nice supporting components like a newer distributor,
FlameThrower plug wires, and an aluminum radiator. You get full
control over this V8 and its rumbling dual exhaust thanks to a
four-speed manual. This transmission is even a handy overdrive
unit. There are more great all-around driving features, like a
Heidts full front clip, tubular control arm front suspension, power
steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes.
When a Mustang has been built to be both a more distinct icon and a
