1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria

In an effort to keep up with Detroit competitors, Ford introduced the new Fairlane line in 1955 replacing the top of the line Crestline of previous model years. The Fairlane line-up included the new Crown Victoria model which featured a chrome "basket handle" across the Victoria hardtop roof. This styling feature visually separated the front passenger compartment with the rear, and the car featured the panoramic windshield for improved visibility.
